City brainstorming

Okay, I decided to go simple...as I doubt the first fae who settled in America were very educated folk. ^_^ I'm sure the nobles moved in and took over once everything was going good.

So far I have:

Faetown
Feyburg
Faeburg
Feyton
Feymore
Feychester
Faeryton
Faewick
Faehurst

Any of them strike ya'lls fancy?

[edit] Okay, thanks to duae there, I keep pronouncing "Faerytown" as "Fair Eatin'" now. *facepalm*

'Faeburg' amuses me, but I don't know if that's what you're going for. I could see 'Faeryton' or 'Faehurst' as viable names too. They just sound right to me. (But I still enjoy Faeburg.)

I like Faewick best, it sounds like a 'real' city name, like it's one word and not two stuck together... It just flows better for some reason.

Feyton or Faewick sound good to me. Faehurst is interesting, but it sounds more like a car or a mansion to me rather than a town.

may i suggest leaving in the "r"'s?

faerwick, feyrchester, faerhurst, feyrton?

they don't have to be prounounced--we have a lot of towns out this way that have a ridiculous amount of silent letters--the older the town, the more letters don't get prounonced. =p

worchester, for example, is prounounced "woostah"

so feyrchester would probably be "feastah" or even "festah" and feyrton or feyrtown would be "fayton" or fayten"

Dude, I didn't even know about the "r"s. I just did a websearch for town suffixes last night and started sticking "fae" and "fey" on the front. ^__^

feyburg or feyton. or possibly faewick, altho that sounds like a person's name.... feychester sounds like a town in connecticut. :> where the waspy fae live.

and i thought of one in the shower today, which is close to yours: feyston. (there's a fayston in vermont, i think that's where i got it from....) a bastardized "feys-town," ya know?

I think Faewick sounds the most believable as an actual city name. Some of the others are kind of eh, but that one sounds suitable to me.
