The newest major city in the US?

Heh. So I got to thinking.

Well, there's the problem right off, eh?

Anyway, so this is a universe where the preternatural are out of the closet. Vampires, werewolves, fae...they're not myths anymore. They're part of the great melting pot.

So if say...they made themselves known somewhere around the beginning of the 20th century...then surely at least one major city has sprung up over the past century where the population is mainly non-human. Dallas was a little spot in the road in the early 20th century...look at it now. I'm sure by now that what was once a little boomtown springing up around a faery circle is probably a good-sized city by now.

Hah! Screw you, NY! I know nothing of you, so I'm not going to use you! Neener neener. I'm making up my own damn city. ^__^

But now I've gotta come up with a name...any ideas?

lol, you could call it Ourtown. and the motto could be, "Monsters welcome, humans by appointment" or something like that. Don't listen to me today. I'm feeling very odd. It could be dangerous to your health....

Something Circus maybe. Because Circus (as in Picadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, etc.) just meaning roundabout, crossroads type placename, and that fits in with the faery ring bit rather well.

And then the first bit could be a generic town name. Petersfield Circus, Tarrington Circus, Springfield Circus, etc.
