Well, there was enough of a thaw that I could actually get out of my apartment yesterday. (Remember, denziens of snow country--we're talking two inches of ice, not snow. It SUCKED) So of course I and the rest of Plano headed to the same Kroger to resupply for this next week. (Seriously? Snow again Wednesday? Do I or do I not live in FUCKING TEXAS. If I wanted real winter, I'd live in Minnesota) While there, I went ahead and got one of the larger Tube-O-Meats, with the thought that since it was so nice and cold out, I could have myself some Famous Texas Ballow's Chili. Usually when I eat chili, I stick with Wolf brand, but when I decide on DIY chili, I go with Ballow's. Frankly, it's the only chili mix I've found that I'd write home about--or would if it hadn't been my parents that turned me onto this stuff. The only suck part is they only sell it in the Brookshires around East Texas--or online. That's fine. I can stock up when I go to see the 'rents.

Man, I bet this stuff would be even better with the good ground chuck. Wish I had money.
