Taken out of context, that really does sound very bad. But that's what makes it so fun! ^_^
Yes, I was at the mall last night. Yes, I went back to both places that sold crabs. Yes, I did mess up and let my hand go slack when trying to coax a big one to come out of his shell, and yes, he did pinch the HELL out of my hand. It didn't break the skin, but I still have a mark. ^_^
So I went down to the crab kiosk instead. Ohhh, mistake. It's hard to just play with the crabbies and leave when the Indian woman next to you is going "Ohhhh, he *likes* you" as the cute little crabbie happily makes you his playground. And then you remember they're social creatures, so getting just one wasn't enough. Nooo...I had to get TWO.
They're still not named. But they are still cute and playful. And active. VERY active. ^_^;;
And they started being amusing before I even got them home. See, the lady gave (well, not gave--sold for $2) this tiny plastic carrier for me to take them home in. So I'm watching them at red lights at all. And I realized right away that they both are big climbers. And at one point I looked, and one was clinging to the lid, and the other was right underneath him so that they were shell-to-shell, and it really looked like the one on the bottom was giving the other a push up to the top. I was all "Now if that isn't a picture for a friggin' inspirational poster, I don't know what is. Hell, that blows that 'Hang in there, kid' kitten right out of the water!"
Hee. Okay, now
diibish has to get rats. =D
